Our White book band pack is perfect for children with a reading age of 8.5-9.

Each reader is carefully levelled to build children’s reading confidence through the gentle introduction of new words, characters and themes. White level readers focus on:

• Greater use of contractions – we’re,we’ve,you’re,you’ve
• Increasing sentence lengths with greater use of conjunctions
• Meaningful illustrations to support the story
• High interest topics such as sport, music and social themes such as empathy and environmental issues
• Average word count of 800-1100 words per reader
