Product description

Imagine. You’re waiting for the postman, about to receive your A-level results. University, a career in journalism… a glittering future lies ahead. But when the doorbell rings, it’s your old girlfriend, Mel. She’s turned up unexpectedly – with a baby. A baby which she says is yours. That’s bad enough. But then Mel nips out to buy some essentials, leaving you literally holding the baby. And she doesn’t come back… Hard-hitting, contemporary and totally page-turning, Malorie Blackman’s dramatic novel will keep you right on the edge of your seat.

“A story which, once read, will not easily go away.” Nicholas Tucker, Independent

“Malorie Blackman’s tough and tender story will grip the hearts of all readers.” Lovereadingforkids.co.uk

    Well worth a read

I liked this book because it was different and told the story of teenage parenthood from a boy’s point of view and covered some difficult issues. The main characters are very likeable and the book really makes you think. Well worth a read.
