Product description

Now a major film starring Yara Shahidi and Charles Melton

The New York Times bestselling love story from Nicola Yoon, author of Everything, Everything.

Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true.

I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him.

Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.

Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations.

Never the poet. Or the dreamer.

But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store-for both of us.

The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?

    Soulmates at their finest.

When i first read the blurb i thought it would be quite cheesy, but it's honestly not (despite it not being that realistic).
The basic plot is that Daniel is trying to get Natasha to fall in love with him as they spend the day together, yet Natasha knows that their relationship could not possibly last due to her family getting deported at the end of the day. Although it seems like it would be slow paced as it covers the whole span of a day, it is actually quite fast-paced with lots of events taking place - i read it in a day, take what you will from that. Their romance is awfully sweet and it left me in despair of not finding my own Daniel. And despite not getting much time to get to know the characters, Nicola Yoon manages to write them very detailed, making it feel like we've known them for years rather than just the day. The ending is great - a real-life depiction of soulmates. Left me sobbing.
