Our March 2022 Ages 5-6 Book of the Month

Our March book of the month for children aged 5-6 is Somebody Crunched Colin. This book is the perfect introduction to the problem of plastic pollution for children, and would equally be suitable for reading aloud at home or in the classroom. It is written by eco-expert and conservationist Sarah Roberts. Her mission is to help children understand the issues facing our planet today and this book is the next in the series after Somebody Swallowed Stanley, which was a huge success – especially in schools.

This book cleverly explains the benefits of recycling and the damage that littering can do to the environment and wildlife through the story of Colin the crisp packet. Colin floats around the ground, rivers and sky, trying to work out where he belongs. Finally, after someone puts him in the bin, Colin is recycled into a watering can and lives happily helping nature to grow.
