Holly Black

An avid collector of rare folklore volumes, Holly spent her early years in a decaying Victorian mansion where her mother fed her on a steady diet of ghost stories and faerie tales – an upbringing with eerie similarities to the settings in The Spiderwick Chronicles. She also writes for the older teen audience with her faerie fantasy novels, Tithe and Ironside. Holly lives in Massachusetts with her husband and a spooky doll collection.

Tony DiTerlizzi

Tony DiTerlizzi is the celebrated author and illustrator of the highly acclaimed The Spider and the Fly, a brilliantly cinematic illustrated version of the Mary Howitt poem. His other picture books include G is for Gzonk and the forthcoming Kenny and the Dragon. In addition, Tony’s art has graced the work of such well-known fantasy names as J.R.R Tolkien, Anne McCaffrey, Peter S. Beagle and George Bear. Tony lives in Massachusetts with his wife and their baby daughter. Visit Tony at
