Product description

‘You’re not Mia Thermopolis any more, honey,’ Dad said. ‘You’re Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo. Princess of Genovia.’ A Princess?? Me??? Yeah. Right.

One minute Mia’s just a sassy Manhattan girl. Next minute she’s heir to the ancient throne of Genovia, forced to swap her tracksuits for tiaras. Suddenly she’s being trailed by a trigger-happy bodyguard, taking princess lessons with her bonkers old Grandmere, and having a makeover with someone called Paolo. Well, her dad can lecture her till he’s royal-blue in the face, but no way is Mia turning herself into a style-queen. And they think she’s moving to Genovia? Er, hello?

From what I read of the princess diaries, I absolutely loved. I think I liked it even better than the films, because there was so much more description, and i could imagine the characters for myself. Great read :D can’t wait to read the rest.

I love this book ! It is a great read. We start off with Mia (our heroine) living her daily life, homework, school etc until … BAM she’s a princess ! Mia is completely shocked by the news and is made by her bossy grandmother (who she calls grandmamere) to take princess lessons. But as Mia changes – or not- will her friends like the new Mia or will there be trouble ? This is a great read and i would recommend for girls 11+
