Our Gold book band pack is perfect for children with a reading age of 8-8.5.

Each reader is carefully levelled to build children’s reading confidence through the gentle introduction of new words, characters and themes. Gold level readers focus on:

• Less common suffixes such as -ful,ly, and -tion are introduced
• Increasing text lengths helps to develop reading stamina
• Meaningful illustrations to support the story
• High interest topics such as sustainability, volunteering are introduced
• Repetition of up to 600 high frequency words
• Average word count of 575-750 words per reader
