So the story started with the two builders (Dave and Les) coming to the house to do work because Ben, Cassie and their Dad had a new house. The builders made a bear trap to catch a bear because they had bears in the bottom of there garden. Les told Cassie that bears like sausage rolls so Cassie put some out by the bear trap so she watched and watched at night. Then one night she saw the bear and screamed.
The first time Ben saw the bear was when he looked in the green house and the green house was where the bear sleeps. Ben loves drawing and needs to pick football or drawing. James and Kurt at the school, who are two bullies tease Ben about playing football.
But Ben had been told he was a good drawer by the builders so he decided to continue to draw and not play football as he was not very good at it.
Firstly my favourite part was when Ben saw Les on Midnight his boat. Secondly my favourite character was Ben because he is smart and he stands up for himself and what he believes in.
I think this book is suitable for ages 5-10 and people that like an adventure.
I love this book and I think it will make a fabulous book to read.
