    I read this book in Year 5 when I was learning about the war in History. The book is a bit sad because the mother is mean to the boy Willie.

    I read this book at school and I liked it even though im not into these sort of stuff and then I watched the movie and I was gob-smacked – I loved it!!

    I absolutely LOVED this book the first time my Dad read it to me when I was seven! Now I have read it many times on my own, and watched the film at least three times! I’d recommend this to anyone 9+, because it can be scary in places.

    A classic like no other. Heartbreaking, fantastic and brilliantly wonderful this book has made me cry to many times to count! A great read, and a beautiful ending, I couldn’t put it down.

    the best book EVER i really recomend it third and forth my class in moylough ns read it as a novel and watched the ovie and reaaly enjoyed it.
