Product description
Imagine a world where humans have been eaten to near extinction by the dominant population. Where the only remaining humans – known as Hepers – are housed in domes on the savannah and studied at the nearby Heper Institute. Against all odds, seventeen-year-old Gene has survived in this world. But his luck may be about to run out. Every decade, there is a government-sponsored Heper Hunt – and now Gene has been selected as one of the combatants. Now he must learn the art of the hunt, and also elude his fellow competitors, whose suspicions about his true nature are growing. What if they knew that, far from being a hunter, he is in fact the prey? A dystopian chiller which gives a pulse-hammering twist to the vampire genre.

One of my favourites
The hunt was an incredible book, I absolutely loved it! I honestly couldn't put it down at times. It also has an amazing story line and I think the whole idea of it is great. There were many unexpected and gruesome moments, which got me wanting more of them. I also really enjoyed the weird creatures/people that the book was based on, for some reason I just loved the creepiness of them, they seemed very 'vampire' like. Overall, The Hunt was a really exciting book and it's definitely one of my favourites. I think that this is a book that anyone would love, no matter what their genre preference.
