Down Under is a Year 3 module focusing on: the process of erosion of rocks into soil and what organisms are able to grow on rocks; different types of soil and the how water can change soils; what organisms live in soil, and why some animals live underground; soil erosion and human impact on soils; soil pollution with landfill, pesticides and other chemicals, and how humans can improve, rather than pollute soils.

The Planning and Assessment CD-ROM contains interactive assessments for pupils on particular scientific concepts. This CD-ROM also contains a full electronic teacher’s resource book with extensive guidance and support.
