Product Description

Gore at your door! Horrible gets local in this yucky look at your very own nasty nation. It even includes a perilous poster. Cool! Did the Black Death strike on your doorstep? Perhaps the Jack the Ripper murders happened just down the road. Was there a spud famine, a bloody battle or a Blitz bombing? This book will help you to find out. Yup – it’s the bloody history of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales: and we think it’s the nastiest history of all. The Battle of Hastings, the Great Fire of London and loads more horrid happenings are all right here. In frightful facts, foul funnies and (you guessed it) nasty bits!

This is an excellent, historically accurate look at the more gruesome parts of British and Irish history, laid out well and with interesting art. It is suitable for children and adults alike, and works alongside the primary school History curriculum to ‘enhance’ the knowledge of a child. Excellent book for all ages!
