Product description
In her summer of secrets, all Becky knows is that everything can change in the beat of a butterfly’s wing…
When Becky finds an old photo in a box under her mum’s bed, everything she thought she knew comes crashing down. The only place she finds comfort is at the Butterfly Garden with her new friend, Rosa May. But with her wild ways, and unpredictable temper, is Rosa May hiding something as well? In the heat of the sun-drenched summer, it seems that Becky is the only one in the dark…
Mesmerising and mysterious, Butterfly Summer is a haunting tale of intense friendship and dangerous discovery.

on 17 December 2019This book is like no other. With Becky’s hidden past, she must join the puzzle pieces to make her life complete. Her bond with Stella, her mom, Mr and Mrs Jackson and most importantly, Mack and Rosa May is exquisite I say. The lovely friendship between Becky and Rosa may is beautiful. Becky and Mack are a match made in heaven. Their relationship is unforgettable. Mack is always there to support Becky, especially in swimming;). This book left me in tears and it is a must read for everyone!!

on 30 May 2014I loved this book. It was really good because I didn’t expect Rosa May to be Becky’s sister. I read it 1 day because i couldn’t put the book down. I recommend it to 10+ I want to read forbidden friends because it’s by the same author and so it will probably be really good aswell.

on 4 March 2013This book is beautiful. I have the ARC version as it isn’t published until May, so it has a different cover to the one that will actually be published. It is white with blue, shiny writing on the front and little blue silhouettes of butterflies. It’s gorgeous and I prefer it to the final book cover (above.)
‘Butterfly Summer’ is very predictable. Straight from the start, I knew that Rosa-May must be Becky’s sister. There were so many clues in the text and in dialogue that when Rosa-May told Becky that she was her sister, it wasn’t really a surprise to me. It would have been nice to have a bit more suspense building up to it. Saying that, though, there were still a lot of surprises and twists in the story to make up for it.
I loved the sub-plot of Becky and Mack. I would have loved to read more about them together, but maybe there will be a sequel? Hopefully!
I loved this book so much! I recommend it to girls aged 10+. 4.5/5!

on 7 June 2012I thoroughly enjoyed Butterfly Summer by Ann-Marie Conway- It’s probably the best book I have been given to review. At first, I wasnt sure whether or not I would enjoy the book as, reading the blurb, I do not really read paranomal/ghost book. I was proven wrong. I have recommended this book to all of my friends and became engrossed in Becky’s story as it was so difficult. If you’re like me (really girly) read this book and be ready for a surprise, This book is definately worthy of 5* and I think it deserves a sequel.

This book is amazing!!!
I have just finished Butterfly Summer and it's one of the best books I've ever read. I'm only 9 so I'm not sure why it says it's for 11+. It's so creepy and sad and by the end you care about Becky and Rosa May SO much. I can't wait to see what Anne-MArie COnway writes next. She is amazing!
