Product description

On the ice, the wind is blowing gently and Big Bear has paused for a moment on his journey. Suddenly the stillness is broken with a cry as a child tumbles down an icy cliff… As the lost little boy and the solitary polar bear form a remarkable bond, they realise that they don’t have to be the same in order to be brothers… Carl Norac’s delicately woven tale is accompanied by beautiful, evocative illustrations from Kristin Oftedal in this sumptuous portrait of friendship in the wilderness.

    Big bear little brother

This book is beautifully written and has lovely pictures to accompany the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book because it is all about an unlikely friendship between a polar bear and a small child and I love polar bears! The pair of friends have a great time together, sliding in the snow, dancing and juggling snowballs. The story is a lovely reminder to always be kind and that everybody is different.

    Big bear little brother

A wonderful book with a storyline about caring for others. I really loved seeing their relationship develop and being able to infer how they felt. The book made me smile!

    A Heartwarming Tale

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I really love polar bears and I thought the illustrations were beautiful. The story of two unlikely friends is a really heartwarming one and I particularly enjoyed the twist at the end. I would highly recommend this story to anyone who likes polar bears. I also think most children would love this story.
