Product description

” When Wolf decides that a little girl would make a very tasty snack, he tries to trick her by pretending to be her grandmother. But the little girl is smarter than Wolf and sends him away each time he knocks at her door. She sends him to collect various things that she says her grandmother would wear or bring. Finally she sends him for a big bunch of balloons and a huge rock and then tells him to put the rock down. The balloons then carry him up into the air and away for ever.”

    Fantastic illustrations

This is a fabulous and very funny picture book which was one of my daughter’s favourites when she was smaller. It’s Red Riding Hood with a twist; the wolf is comprehensively outwitted by the little girl (with the help of her dog Rexy, who keeps on barking “Woolf!”). It has the repetition that children love in picture books (the wolf keeps coming back to try and outwit the girl) and has fantastic illustrations – particularly the one of the wolf wearing Grandma’s bloomers…
