Our March 2022 Ages 3-4 Book of the Month

Our March book of the month for children aged 3-4 is Spreading My Wings. This touching story is written by Great British Bake Off Winner, TV presenter and chef Nadiya Hussain. Spreading My Wings is a story that teaches children about being proud of who they are, and, in a sensitive and empathetic way, teaches the importance of embracing and celebrating our differences. This book is a great way to introduce your child to these important topics and the beautiful illustrations and simple text provide a good springboard for parents and carers to have open discussions with their children.

Spreading My Wings is about a little boy who arrives for the first day of his holiday camp with his pet bird Rayf. However, he realises that is the old child with a pet and tries to hide Rayf away in order to fit in. The little boy soon discovers that it’s hard to pretend to be someone else for too long.
