The ‘Egg Hunt’ poem can be read to children before a class Easter egg hunt. Eggs can be strategically placed in interesting places and if possible near to ‘signs of spring’ such as daffodils or trees with blossom. If it’s raining outside, then an indoor egg hunt can be the next best thing. A classroom has lots of interesting objects to hide eggs behind and inside.

The eggs could be of different patterns and colours to encourage lots of description when they are brought back into the classroom.
