PM Writing

With the vast majority of our students’ learning in secondary school revolving around non-fiction texts, we are all becoming increasingly aware of how important comprehending these differing text types are. In order to deconstruct a text type in search of meaning, students must first know how to construct them.

PM Writing is a complete learning, teaching and assessment package that develops the writing process throughout the primary phase. It provides systematic instruction in writing, incorporating shared, guided, and independent writing, and linked independent reading.

The PM Writing programme offers a sequential introduction to ten key text types across five stages, providing explicit links between writing and reading success.
