Case study
Rachel Hill from West End Tiny Tots Group takes a look at Read & Respond Interactive, We’re Going On A Bear Hunt for us.
I didn’t think it was possible to improve on this fantastic book but this interactive CD-ROM is great.
The children loved the animated clips but particularly enjoyed the interactive text version supported by the word bank to enhance their understanding.
The eight different lesson plans are clearly laid out and have specific cross-curriculum links. They introduce the children to expand on the story by looking at other areas, such as the weather, and supporting this with excellent photographs and printable pages.
Michel Rosen’s interview encourages the children to study Helen Oxenbury’s wonderful artwork and how she portrays the bear’s character.
This is an invaluable resource offering many easy to use activities in a user friendly format.
