   Incredibly Fascinating!

   I thought it was really gripping straight from the first page. It was a very clever and intricate storyline that was incredibly fascinating and made you want to read more! The beginning was exciting and the ending was sweet. I thought it was an amazing book. The one thing I had to say was bad was maybe the front-cover. It was a slight let down to the whole book but I still really enjoyed it thoroughly!

   One of the best books ever!

   Cover:
   I think the cover's lovely. I love the colors and the glowing glass castle in the background. I like the dagger sticking out of the sleeve.

   Overall, what I thought:
   I thought this book was wonderful. I actually can't think of anything else to say apart from that, that's how good it was! The plot was brilliant. I love how it twisted and changed. I loved all the characters, and how you read the book in 4 points of view. So yeah-AMAZING!!!

   The Heroine:
   The heroine is Celaena Sardothien, known as Adarlan's Assassin. She's got a strong character, and I really like her, but I just couldn't help thinking that she was a bit arrogant. She can't stand not showing people her full potential, but I guess I'm like that as well! Her character develops a lot throughout the book. She's much nicer now!!!

   Other Characters:
   Prince Dorian Havilliard: Unlike other people, I didn't really like Dorian at the start. I thought he was exactly what Celaena thought her was. Like his Father, who destroyed the lives of many. But reading more into his character, I thought he was quite a nice person, and couldn't help feeling sorry for him at the end.
   Captain Chaol Westfall: I don't really know what to think of Chaol. At the start, he was ok...and them I didn't like him...then I did like him...then I didn't like him. I ended up liking his character, so I'll put my judgement on that. He's quite quiet and serious, and I like how he doesn't like killing people.
   Princess Nehemia of Eyllwe: I enjoyed reading about Nehemia. She's probably my favorite character. She is strong, loyal and noble. She stands up for her people, and isn't afraid to get hurt in the process. I wish I had a friend like that...
   Lady Kaltain Rompier: I'll have to admit I'm quite disgusted by Kaltain. She thinks she's so beautiful and will do anything to gain power. Even betray and hurt Celaena. She is desperate to marry Dorian so she can by Queen. She's what I'd call shallow-minded and extremely vain.
   Duke Perringtion: Oh how I hate this overweight ugly spawn of the devil!!! He's even worse then Kaltain. He's a trickster, and one of the King's advisers. Every time he came into the scene, I felt like jumping into the book and stabbing his piggy eyes out!!!

   The Plot:
   Celaena is an assassin. She was caught, and taken to work in the mines of Endovier. The King is searching for a champion. The champion will have to get rid of any rebels for him. The champion will serve under the King for four years, after which, as reward, they will gain their freedom. The King's court took it as a challenge, and each nominated their own challenger. To become champion, you must partake in some tests. The winner will be the King's Champion. If you lose, you'll be sent back to wherever you came from. Endovier is a harsh place. For Celaena, failure is not an option.

   Dorian picks Celaena as his champion. She is the only female in the competition, and is trained by Chaol. She is out of shape from working in Endovier, but still has a lot of her strength and is angered that she can't show off her abilities. But Chaol says it will be easier for her to win if people underestimate her.

   While participating in a test, one of the challengers, Nox, whom she is friend's with, almost dies, but she saves him, costing her place as the winner of that test.

   Something mysterious is happening. Challengers are dying mysteriously and brutally, and mysterious runes called Wyrdmarks are drawn at the place of the murders. The ghost of a past Queen contacts Celaena and tells her to stop the great evil that is happening. But the murders continue, and Celaena is not sure if she'll be next.

   What are the mysterious Wyrdmarks?
   Will the evil be stopped?
   And will Celaena become the King's Champion?

   My Final Thoughts:
   Throne of Glass is definitely one of the best books I've read this summer-probably one of the best books I've read full stop! I thoroughly enjoyed it, and am sure lots of other people will love it too.

   Such a great book

   Throne Of Glass was such a great book! I liked how the romance of it didn't take over the whole plot, but it was still a big part. It was interesting to read a book from the point of view of an assassin, who is normally the bad one of the book, and you got to see all of the humanity she had and watch her character unravel throughout the book. There were some very cringe worthy moments in the story which was good because it wasn't too extremely gruesome. I also enjoyed all of the action parts of it, which were written really well. I loved all the weird twists of the story and I hope that there will be a sequel!

   Cinderella meets Merlin!

   I thought this book was amazing! It has everything: a heroine, a strange beast, a villain, murders - all of which are wrapped up in one big tournament. I loved the twist at the end and the shocking parts of the book. It was like a cross between Cinderella and Merlin!

   Cover: I love the UK cover, it’s really imaginative and the girl in the background looks really cool amidst her surroundings. I also love the way she looks slightly arrogant and that really reflects on her personality.
   I don’t really like the US cover as it has a real girl on it, which looks nothing like how I imagined the girl in the book to look. I don’t like it when covers have pictures of real people on the book because it doesn’t let you imagine freely.

   About: Celaena Sardothien is the best assassin in all of Ardalan and has been selected as the Princes Champion and to take part in a big challenge. To fight against 23 selected assassins, soldiers, guards and out of control killers. Numerous challenges, not just about strength, but about stamina, self-esteem and logic. There should’ve been 23 challenges but unexpectedly the competitors die horribly, one by one, their innards ripped out. Something only a monster could do. Celaena needs to find out fast, because she’s next on the list. But through this she has to stay a loyal friend to Princess Nehemia, suffer the jealousy of Kaltain and the wrath of Cain, an obnoxious and ruthless killer who would do anything to win…

   I loved the book as it did remind me of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Divergent by Veronica Roth, both of which I enjoyed reading.

   I would recommend this to readers age 13-16

   My star rating out of 5 is 4!
