Jacqueline Wilson was born in Bath in 1945, but spent most of her childhood in Kingston-on-Thames. She always wanted to be a writer and wrote her first “novel” when she was nine, filling countless Woolworths’ exercise books as she grew up. Since having her daughter, Emma, she has been writing full time.

Her insightful and emotionally challenging books not only stretch reading ability, but give young readers a glimpse into many kinds of lives. Smart girls, strong girls, bad girls, brave girls. Girls keeping their families going, girls trying to get away… Jacqueline Wilson’s written about them all! These powerful stories of plucky girls in difficult circumstances won’t fail to strike a chord.

She has written over 70 best-selling books, and several have even been adapted for TV – most famously The Story of Tracy Beaker. Her signing sessions attract huge crowds of fans and last for hours! Over 25 million copies of her books have now been sold in the UK alone.

In 2007 Jacky Daydream was published, an inspirational true story of how a shy schoolgirl became a superstar author. This was followed by My Secret Diary, a captivating account of Jacky’s teenage years.

In June 2002 Jacqueline was given an OBE for services to literacy in schools, and she was the Children’s Laureate from 2005-2007. She also became a Dame in December 2007.

    i love jaquline wilson books because she captures my imagination she makes me laugh when i find funny bits i spend at least 3 hours a night reading and i know when im reading tracy beaker the tenager whos always in trouble but comes through in the end that im getting a good read.

    Jacqueline Wilson’s books are EXCELLENT and really help to introduce real-life issues such as divorce and abuse to a child in a protected environment. Her books have been with me for my entire childhood, and when I was little I would save all my pocket money up to buy them. She is a wonderful author who has written some excellent novels, suitable for little children everywhere!

Then Why don’t you buy the Jacqueline Wilson Pack which is full of all her books, I think it is perfect because my mum didn’t allow me to buy all the books but having a collection is going to be much more easier so GIVE IT A GO!

    Jacqueline Wilson is THE author to go to when looking for a good book for young girls although to be honest her old stuff is a lot more interesting and meaning compared to the new. classics such as Double act and Best of Friends and don’t forget the story of Tracy Beaker

    I have read all of these books and I think their great. Each character has a different story to tell, but my favourite book out of all of them is Secret, India because I`m allot like her.My second favourite book would have to be Hetty Feather,I read this book over and over again. Jacqueline Wilson is a great author and I would recommend this book to anyone who l loves to read about girly drama and the ups and downs in life :D

    These books are abosutely fantastic I have read every book you see in the picture. Clean Break grabs the true meaning of family diffictules and I can’t put how BRILL every single book here is. But you must read them they are truly marvellous.

    i have read most of the books and finally decided that best friends is my favourite it is about 2 girls one dainty and delicate ,alice and one bashful and rough ,gemma but when alice moves to scotland the best friends are separated. BAD NEWS i woould reccomend this book to any girl who has a best friend
