They move to a simple country cottage with Mother, and befriend the local railway porter, who goes by the name of Perks. Roberta, Peter and Phyllis are three children that have great adventures to do with the railway near their cottage-three chimneys. I would recommend as an age rating 10-14

A classic story of children that are out to find adventure when they move into the country after their Dad goes without an explanation, what more could you ask for? There is a sense of mystery, love for their mother and friendship that is always being built. I thought it was a really moving book with a really nice companionship between the children. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
