Product description

Starting over is like pressing the reset button on a game, wiping out all your points. Now Milo has to restart. Surviving the year is all he has to do. But it’s not just a new school he’s dealing with; it’s a new house, a new neighbourhood – a whole new life. One without his mum in it. This funny and moving story charts a year in the life of Milo, a lovable thirteen-year-old misfit trying to come to terms with the death of his mother. Can he find a way to survive in a world filled with painful reminders of the past?

“Filled with kindness and charm and wry humour, Milo and the Restart Button charmed me to both laughter and a tear or two.” Bookbag.co.uk

“Though there is plenty of humour to appeal to a young reader, there is also an attempt to convey the devastation that occurs when a parent – and in particular, the mother – dies.” Books for Keeps

I really think people who are just starting this book will really enjoy the end. It is a very humourous book. I read this book couple of weeks ago and it is a real page turner, you get really absorbed into it. My daughter read it in her guided reading group and i nearly read it all for her!!! I had to tell her what happened in the parts i read, she proberbly forgot what i said though anyway except for that it is a really good book.

I think this is a very good book. I like it because even though it is quite sad that Milo’s mum has died, there are lots of very funny things that happen and I think this is how I would feel if I was Milo.
