The series covers issues such as the environment, art, science, history and sport. As well as ‘Shocker Facts’ relating to the subject of the book, there are ‘Word Stunners’ which explain the root of the words or features such as acronyms. There is also a glossary and index to ensure all non-fiction elements can be studied.
Each of the twenty Shockwave titles is accompanied by a Fact File card that provides questions to challenge their partners and test their comprehension. A Teachers’ Notes card is also available for each title which provides objectives and guided reading notes to help get the most out of each title.
